It’s the last week of enrichment co-op for the year! As sad as I am about the ending, I am also looking forward to a break.
Printing our academic co-op math curriculum and I’m actually getting pretty excited about this. Big turn around from the scramble after a teacher dropped.
Getting back into spooky reading and I’m loving it.
Looking forward to Junkstock with a friend on Saturday!

I got my reading back on track with a whole string of great atmospheric and/or spooky books!
We started our weekly Vala’s visits. They make me so happy!
Very strange co-op week. I went from a class of 12 to a class of 4 with basically no warning. This always happens at the end of the session. I should know better.
A friend’s kid who was in the hospital is out and on the mend. So glad for that entire family.

Yesterday was a no good day for me. I must say that we can only go up today…
Getting excited for spooky season reading and visits to the pumpkin patches.
Obsessed with weird trivia and improv shows right now. Yep, we’re nerds over here.
Really hoping that we can get this room situation figured out for academic co-op. It’s stressing me out.

The weather has taken a turn for the windy, cloudy, and cooler. Thank goodness! I am going to enjoy it for the next few days because next week it’s going to be back into the 90s.
Tomorrow I’m leading a pond exploration for 23 kiddos ages 4 to 12. I foresee so much chaos!
A friend asked some of us if an adult’s night at Vala’s would be something interesting. Oh hell yeah! My favorite place during my favorite time of the year and no kids with me. Sign me up! (I’m hosting a family campfire night there in October, but this is completely different!)
One of my co-op supply bags has acquired multiple holes in the bottom. Duct tape to the rescue, but I’m sad. I may need to watch the website for sales and buy some new ones.

Back to leading co-op. It went well today, but my goodness, it was humid.
I’m a bit out of sorts today we we we out of the house from 9am to 6pm. That’s a long day away for us.
Looking forward to our walk in the woods tomorrow morning.
Longing for fall weather….

Summer is winding down. Many of our places are closing (so early!) but we do have some things still on our bucket lists.
Excited for the Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo (in two weeks). I really like Maritime history places.
Temperatures are back in the 90s with high humidity. I do not like.
We met some new homeschool friends this week. Here’s hoping they come to another event soon.

And I’m off to the retreat! Right now, I’m prepping to take the boys to swim lessons and then coop before heading out of town. It’s going to be a crazy busy day, but so worth it!
Speaking of retreat, I had planned on taking 5 physical books with me. I finished my last book abut four days ago and picked one of the 5 to start reading. I finished it in two days and then another in two days. Ooops! At least I’m reading from my shelves!
Cannot wait to visit some new indie bookstores on Friday. One is a romance book store and I’m very much here for it!

My week went from nothing scheduled to something scheduled everyday. This is summer.
Our food stores are very limited today. Guess that means we need to go to the grocery store after our park playdate.
Thinking about my TBR pile for the retreat. Is 5 books of varying genres enough? I’m still debating with myself.
Currently in the middle of four different books. Very unusual for me, but that’s how it shaken out this week.

My reading week has not been going well. Lackluster reads…
Last week of spring semester of coop today! I am very excited to wrap up another wonderful semester.
Working on the lots of retreat tasks. Only one month to go!
It’s getting a big warm outside. Pulling out my summer clothes.

So into our new television show. It’s just so much fun. No wonder as the story is originally from Neil Gaiman.
My May TBR is intense. I have so many books that I need (want) to read this month. Not sure how I’m going to fit them all in.
I think a recipe treasure trove revamp might be in order. Feeling a bit stale with our rotation lately.
I need to get working of the bookish recommendations for the retreat. A very daunting task, but I’ll get them done.

After going on a big side quest, my office is so clean and pretty! You can actually walk all around without stepping over things.
I started buying the nonperishables for the retreat. Aldi’s had a great deal on some dried fruit and I had to take advantage.
Speaking of, I need to make a grocery list for our Ashfall trip next week. I’m in charge of part of our charcuterie board night and my family’s breakfast and lunch.
Diving into a horror book this week and loving it. Just what I needed!

I’ve got so many plans in motion for this summer and fall. Working on my big project management charts.
Meal planning might be my least favorite reoccurring household task. It is never-ending.
Sometimes nothing is better than a glass of ice water.
I need to make a watchlist for May…
And possibly redo my TBR pile.

The weather is just not cooperating for coop this week… We couldn’t find a place and had to cancel. The location struggle has really gotten to me.
Think it’s time to send a reminder email for the retreat attendees.
And I have some coop admins tasks to finish today.
Might make some banana bread today. I’m feeling like some type of baked goods.

My reading has slowed down a bit… probably for the best.
The fake spring is lulling me into false sense of security.
Nic Cage Quarterly is moving slowly. We’ve hit a string of very serious movies and just cannot watch them back to back.
We really need to head to the library and grocery this afternoon.
I’m doing much better with reading my own books along with the library selections.

Last weekend’s reading weekend was the best idea that I have had in a long while. I completed two books and almost completed two other books.
Nic Cage Quarterly is back this month! Hoping to watch at least 15 movies this month.
The weather is holding out this week for more park time after coop.
It’s looking like February is going to be another big month for reading.

So so busy… I feel like we haven’t been home for school very much this week.
The new season of Slow Horses is absolutely amazing! It’s so hard to wait each week for the next episode.
I really need to drop off two bags of library books today. We need to slowly turn all our library books back in before we leave for Indiana.
Couldn’t resist the holiday treats at Aldis this week. Oh so good.

It’s friends and food day
I made a mess of next coop semester’s schedule of teachers. Two many changes happening (comings and goings, plus an added class) have caused lots of needed changes. We’ll work it out, but I spent like 20 minutes Tuesday making a list of proposed changes.
Speaking of… I really need to work on the homeschool plan for spring. I’m still really adjusting to Quentin being a first grader along with coop and activities.
Blowing way past my reading goal for the year. I’ll be past 250 when December 31st rolls around. So much reading this year!
